Sugar-Apple is a juicy and creamy fruit, it has a white pulp that contain up to 40 black seeds. The fruit flesh is sweet, white to light yellow, and resembles and tastes like custard but like the gooey portion of tomato seed, separate the hard seeds in the mouth and spit them out as they are poisonous!

The Sugar-apple contains no sodium but they are high in carbohydrates and rich in calcium, vitamin C and phosphorus, and with a sugar content of about 50-50 (glucose and sucrose). The fruit is also considered as a good tonic in Ayurveda.
